Hello friends, Go EvilicaCell, meet again with me, the admin of a site that discusses health, on this occasion I will share an article that discusses "why do your palms sweat often?" I want to ask… My hands and feet are always sweaty… For no reason, I've felt it for years?
Primary focal hyperhidrosis is a condition in which the body sweats excessively only in one particular place. For example in the groin, scalp, face, armpits, soles of feet, or palms. And what sweats is not only one of the palms, soles of feet, or armpits, but both.
One form of this condition is palmar and plantar hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating only on the palms and soles. The causes of this condition are divided into 2, namely:
- Primary: also known as essential or idiopathic / the cause is not known with certainty, but is associated with a family genetic predisposition, and excessive sympathetic nervous system activity, and is triggered by anxiety, other emotional changes such as anger, and fear.
- Secondary: caused by other things such as infection, peripheral nerve disorders (peripheral autonomic neuropathy), frostbite / severe chills, complex regional pain syndrome, other systemic disorders (but generally sweating all over the body -- such as hyperthyroidism, thyrotoxicosis, diabetes, etc.) , the use of certain drugs and much more.
If your condition is only limited to sweating on the palms and feet, there are no other complaints, generally not something to worry about. However, if the complaint is accompanied by excessive sweating throughout the body, increased sweating, cold sweat or the mattress becomes wet when waking up, or accompanied by insomnia, fatigue, thirst, frequent urination, and/or coughing.
We recommend that you see a doctor or specialist in internal medicine for further tests such as blood tests and hormone levels, etc.
In the meantime keep your fluid intake every day, manage stress wisely, get enough rest, and exercise regularly. Some of the information that we can convey may be useful. Quoting from Greetings, Dr. Prasetyo
Sorry doc, I have a few questions, I am a woman who has excessive sweating. even when I apply make up I always want it to smudge. Last night I felt hot, I checked the temperature, I didn't have a fever, but actually when I held it, my body felt cold and sweaty too.
